We have reached over 30% of schools in Ohio, delivering life-changing messages to thousands of students. By partnering with schools, local businesses and community leaders, ASAP builds mentorship opportunities and promotes positive development for youth across the nation.
Founders Jim Surace and Tom Hare
01 / Our roots
Born in Northeast Ohio.
ASAP was founded over two decades ago by Jim Surace, philanthropist and CEO of Surace-Smith Insurance Group, and Tom Hare, Executive Director of Harvest Leadership Alliance. As ASAP Ohio, it hosted school assemblies and mentorship programs that helped students build healthy mindsets and overcome challenges.
02 / Our growth
From ASAP Ohio to ASAP America.
With over 100 schools served, including Cleveland Heights High School, Mentor High School and Lutheran East High School, ASAP Ohio became a trusted resource for students and educators. That success grew into ASAP America, a nationwide initiative expanding its reach to young people across the country.

The assembly of choice.
We want schools to know ASAP as the assembly of choice: engaging, relevant content and professional delivery. Every daytime assembly pairs dynamic entertainment with a motivational speaker, then an evening Comeback program offers students more encouragement and real next steps.
